The Senior Director of Strategy and Business Development is system-strategy role in support of Legacy’s vision, “To be essential to the health of the region.” The Senior Director will be the internal expert on market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive analysis, and will use that knowledge to shape Legacy’s strategic position in different geographies and across service lines. He/she will also evaluate and lead the development of strategic partnerships. This is a highly visible position reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer for the system. This is a senior leader who is entrepreneurial, creative, and has deep experience in business modeling and strategic frameworks. This position will lead and mentor a team of planning consultants/analysts and work in collaboration with the VP of Customer Experience and Director of the Enterprise Project Management Office.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Planning, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience. MHA or MBA strongly preferred.
A minimum of six years of Strategy, Business Development, Management consulting, or relevant experience. Three+ years of healthcare industry experience in a value-based care model and/or equivalent management consulting experience. Deep understanding of the healthcare business model and the evolving relationship between payors and healthcare providers. Proven ability to lead teams to launch innovative and new initiatives/programs. Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally across stakeholders such as operations, information services, populational health, marketing, and finance. Demonstrated experience facilitating large groups of stakeholders including senior management, Board members, and physician leaders.
